Sweet Pea had 9 pigs today. That is a huge litter for a guinea hog. Five boars and four gilts. Wow.
Fable delivered a large single solid black ewe before we got home. The eweling is very nice with good crimp.
Belinda had twin ram lambs when we got home today. They are very beautiful black and white boys. They have small horn buds it seems.
Well it appears that the other pair of Kings have squabs now. They are productive little guys. The other squab seems to double in size everyday.

Gary’s name was finally carved in stone at the UofA.
We hatched 6 goldens today. They are so tiny when they have just hatched.
We have hatched 6 poults and 4 keets. The poults are two Narragansetts, a royal palm, and three Porter calicos (Thanks Matthew). The keets are Royal purples. Gary goofed on the dates and the pheasants should hatch in the next couple days.
One of the pairs of pigeons hatched a squab. Gary describes it as a cross between Jabba the Hut and a dodo bird.
Gary drove to meet Mary Ellen today and picked up three new ewes. Two of them are polled carriers and one is a beautiful spot. They are great additions to our program. Also we got four ram lambs. Three spotties and one black with white spot on his forehead. One of the rams seems to be scurred.
