Hatch day

May 22nd, 2008

We have hatched 6 poults and 4 keets. The poults are two Narragansetts, a royal palm, and three Porter calicos (Thanks Matthew). The keets are Royal purples. Gary goofed on the dates and the pheasants should hatch in the next couple days.

A squab

May 22nd, 2008

One of the pairs of pigeons hatched a squab.  Gary describes it as a cross between Jabba the Hut and a dodo bird.

More ewes

May 16th, 2008

Gary drove to meet Mary Ellen today and picked up three new ewes. Two of them are polled carriers and one is a beautiful spot. They are great additions to our program. Also we got four ram lambs. Three spotties and one black with white spot on his forehead. One of the rams seems to be scurred.
